Clara López-Aguado Sánchez is a skilled researcher and academic with extensive experience in the fields of chemical engineering and thermochemical processes. Currently serving as a project participant in WP3 at ZEBRA-LIFE PROJECT and a researcher at the National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER), Clara is involved in planning and executing experiments in biomass laboratories and overseeing pilot plant operations. Previous roles include postdoctoral research and assistant professorship at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, focusing on catalytic processes for biomass valorisation, and conducting research for the development of bio-products from sugars and lignocellulosic biomass. Clara holds a PhD in Industrial Technology from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and has contributed significantly to scientific literature, presenting at numerous congresses and authoring several articles. Additionally, Clara has experience in student evaluation within the engineering and architecture committee and has worked at various institutions, including Technische Universität München and Repsol, across different research and engineering capacities.
