Rock L. McHenry

As Senior Vice President of Centuri Operations, Rock is focused on strategy for the growth and financial performance of Centuri’s U.S. Gas business units, including the ongoing integration of Centuri’s recent acquisitions.

Rock’s tenure with Centuri goes back 25 years. When Southwest Gas Corporation purchased NPL Construction Co. in 1996, he came over as Executive Director of Finance for NPL. Two years later, he assumed the role of Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Then in 2012, his role transitioned to Executive Vice President, Chief Customer Officer, which he kept when Centuri was established. In 2017, Rock was appointed President of Meritus Group (now Meritus Gas Division), the open shop division within the Centuri Gas Group market segment. Rock assumed his current role after announcing his plans to retire in December 2022.

Prior to joining NPL and Centuri, he held the roles of Director of Internal Audit and Manager of Administration for Southwest Gas beginning in 1991. Before that, he held various accounting and financial roles at Ernst & Young, Quintana Petroleum, and Shell Oil Company.

Rock has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Utah. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and he is a member of both the American Institute of CPAs and Texas Society of CPAs.
