Mateo Romano

Mateo Romano has over 30 years of experience in the toy industry. In 1987, they began their career at Muñecas y Juguetes Ensueño, where they held positions of progressive responsibility in Sales, Production, Purchasing, Advertising, and Credit/Collections. Mateo then moved on to Ensueno-Tyco Toys Mexico in 1993, where they were the Marketing Director and launched 10+ brands annually. In 1997, they joined Mattel, Inc. and held various roles, including Vice President Global Commercial Marketing, Vice President and Country Manager for Mattel South of Europe, Country Manager for Mattel Northern Europe, Commercial Director for Mattel Spain, General Manager for Exports Markets for Mattel Latin America, Director of New Business Development for Mattel Latin America, and General Manager for Mattel Argentina. In 2018, they became the General Manager International at Moose Toys, where they improved sales forecasting accuracy by aligning the organization towards one number and implementing the S&OP process. Mateo is currently a Partner at CEO Coaching International, a Senior Business Advisor at Tacrom Business Advisors, and a Global Advisory Board Member at Virtual Advisory Board (VAB).

Mateo Romano attended the Universidad Tecnológica de México from 1987 to 1991. Mateo then attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where they received a Diploma in Negotiation and Influence Strategies. Mateo also holds a Diploma in Marketing from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and completed a Leadership Program at the Thunderbird School of Global Management in 2011.
