Steve Patterson has had a long and successful career in the sports and business industries. In 2022, they became a Partner at CEO Coaching International, a leading coaching firm for growth-focused CEOs and entrepreneurs. Steve also became an Independent Board Member at Affinaquest in 2019. From 2007 to 2017, Steve was the President of Pro Sports Consulting. In 2019, they became Co-Chairman at Legend Labs, a brand and innovation consulting firm. In 2017, they took on the role of President, CEO, and Alternate Governor at the Arizona Coyotes. In 2014, they became an Independent Director at Healthcare Trust of America, Inc. From 2013 to 2011, they were the Men's Athletic Director at The University of Texas at Austin, and from 2011 to 2003, they were the Managing Director Sun Devil Sports Group and Athletic Director at Arizona State University. Finally, from 2003 to 1997, Steve was the President of the Portland Trail Blazers and the Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of the Houston Texans.
Steve Patterson began their educational journey at John Foster Dulles High School from 1973 to 1975. Steve then attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1975 to 1984, where they received a BBA with honors in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. In 1984, they earned their Juris Doctor (J.D.) in Law from The University of Texas at Austin. In October of 1984, they obtained their Attorney and Counselor certification from the State Bar of Texas. In July of 2022, they obtained certifications from TTI Success Insights in both 12 Driving Forces and DISC.
