Bob Uvacek

Bob Uvacek has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple companies and roles. Bob worked at Cephasonics as the VP of Technology, where they implemented modern ultrasound imaging modes and delivered AI-based displays for surgeons. Bob also worked as the Director of Engineering at Cephasonics. Prior to that, they were the Director of HDR Systems at Dolby Labs Santa Clara. Before that, they held the position of Senior Director of Engineering at Pixelworks Inc, where they directed the production and design of chips used in TVs and screens. Bob also led the conception, design, and implementation of a Rapid Prototyping Platform. At Toshiba US California, they served as the Director of SoC Development, specializing in system design for ASIC customers. Bob also worked as the Director of System Development at Quicksilver Technology, where they developed Adaptive Computing Machines. At Resound USA later GN Resound DK, they were the Director of System Development, focusing on the development of hearing aids and wireless Bluetooth earpieces for firefighters. Throughout their career, they have utilized various programming languages and tools such as Matlab, Python, Simulink, and DSPACE. Bob has also explored deep neural modeling and psychoacoustic models in their work. Overall, Bob Uvacek has extensive experience in technology, engineering, and product development.

Bob Uvacek earned their PhD in Analog/Digital Filters, Automation, RF, and Computers from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH Zurich. Bob attended this institution from 1974 to 1978. Later, in 1991 and 1992, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management at GSBA Zurich.
