Akash Anand

Akash Anand is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in chemical engineering and process chemistry. Currently serving as Senior Scientist in Oligonucleotides Production at Cepheid since November 2023, Akash previously worked at Switchback Systems from August 2021 to November 2023, holding roles as Scientist II and Scientist I, where responsibilities included leading process chemistry initiatives and developing synthesis workflows for an innovative DNA synthesizer. Akash's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from The University of Kansas, where contributions as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Doctoral Researcher focused on enzyme immobilization studies and bioreactor fabrication. Prior to this, Akash earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering.
