Rosa Yu

Rosa Yu is an accomplished director of assay development at Cepheid, with over a decade of experience in leading the design and development of in vitro diagnostic assays, including the Xpert Xpress MVP test and antimicrobial resistance tests. Key responsibilities include directing teams of scientists, optimizing PCR and oligo design, conducting analytical studies, and supporting regulatory submissions. Previous roles at Cepheid included principal scientist and senior manager, where Rosa Yu successfully managed the development of multiple assays in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Prior to Cepheid, Rosa Yu served as a senior scientist at Osel Inc. and as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University. Rosa Yu holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Michigan Medical School and a BS with Highest Distinction in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
