Ioannis Sitaras

Ioannis Sitaras is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in public health and biomedical science. Currently serving as a Research Associate at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and holding external technical expert roles at CEPI and the World Health Organization, Ioannis has previously worked as a Research Fellow at the CDC and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the USDA Agricultural Research Service. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Virology and Epidemiology from Wageningen University & Research, a Master of Research in Biomolecular Science from the University of York, and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biomedical Science from the University of the West of England. Early career experience includes roles as a Medical Laboratory Research Scientist and a Research Student at prominent institutions.
