Leonie van Tongeren

Leonie van Tongeren is an experienced professional with a robust background in resource mobilization and stakeholder engagement within international and philanthropic organizations. As the Senior Manager of Resource Mobilisation and Investor Relations at CEPI since September 2020, Leonie manages relationships with European governments and drives initiatives to secure sustainable funding for pandemic preparedness. Prior to this role, Leonie served as Fund Manager at Civitates, overseeing grantmaking for a European democracy initiative, and held various positions at the Open Society Foundations, providing strategic support for projects across Europe. Leonie’s career also includes roles focused on human rights and international relations, alongside academic credentials such as an LL.M. in International Relations from the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals.
