José Antonio Valgañón has extensive work experience in procurement and supply chain management. José Antonio began their career as the Procurement & Pharma Production Director at Serono Laboratories in 1994. José Antonio then moved to Lucent Technologies, where they held various roles, including Iberia Supply Chain & Procurement Director from 2000 to 2002, EMEA Supply Chain General Manager for the channel business from 2002 to 2004, and VP of Procurement & Customer Operations Latinamerica from 2004 to 2007. Following their time at Lucent Technologies, Valgañón served as the Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer at ONO from 2007 to 2010. José Antonio then joined Grupo ISOLUX CORSAN as the Director of Corporate Purchasing and Supply from 2010 to 2014. Currently, they serve as the VP of Procurement, also known as the CPO, at CEPSA since December 2014. Throughout their career, Valgañón has been responsible for the strategic management of procurement and supply chain activities, demonstrating their expertise and leadership in this field.

José Antonio Valgañón completed a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Navarra from 1982 to 1988. José Antonio pursued an MBA at IE (Instituto de Empresa) from 1988 to 1989. In 2006, they attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business to study Leadership and Organization, although no specific degree was mentioned.
