Rafael López Alarcón

Rafael López Alarcón has a diverse work experience spanning different companies and roles in the energy industry. Rafael currently serves as the Business Development Director Hydrogen at Cepsa since 2023. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2023, they worked as the Head of Renewables Business Development Europe at Naturgy Renovables.

Before that, from 2008 to 2023, Rafael held multiple roles at Gas Natural Fenosa, including Subdirector estrategía y desarrollo and Sudirector LNG origination. From 2016 to 2020, they also worked at Naturgy as a Subdirector LNG Originacion.

Rafael's career in the energy sector started at Endesa, where they worked as the Jefe de proyecto desarrollo negocio Endesa Europa from 2005 to 2008.

Rafael López Alarcón obtained their Licentiate degree in Organic Chemistry from UAM in 1998. Rafael later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IE Business School, which they completed between 2000 and 2001.
