Jigna Desai is a seasoned academic and professional in the field of architecture and conservation, currently serving as a Professor at CEPT University since October 2009, where Jigna has held roles as an Associate and Assistant Professor. Desai is a member of the Industrial Advisory Board for the Architectural Science Masters program at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University, and has served as an expert member of the International Committee for Historic Cities, Towns and Villages (CIVVIH) under the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) since March 2013. As of September 2023, Jigna is an Editorial Board Member for Historic Built Environment Policy and Practice at Taylor and Francis and has been the Principal Researcher and Head at the Center for Heritage Conservation since January 2019. Jigna also co-founded and directs JMA Design Co. and has experience as a Visiting Professor at Nottingham Trent University. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Conservation Studies from CEPT University and an MSc in Sustainable Design from Cardiff University, alongside a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
