Jan Ghys

Jan Ghys has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jan is currently working as an IT Quality & Compliance Manager at Cerba Research since January 2022.

Before their current role, Jan worked at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. Jan served as a Principal Quality Engineer Execution Systems - Quality Systems from January 2017 to January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a QA CSV from May 2015 to December 2016.

Jan also worked as an Operations Lead BE at Rescop bvba from March 2014 to December 2016. Jan served as an IT Validation Lead at TEVA Pharmachemie from April 2012 to May 2015 and also held the same role from December 2011 to May 2015.

In addition, Jan worked at De Cronos Groep as a Managing Partner from October 2011 to February 2014. Jan was a Consultant QA-systems - PQR at GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals from March 2011 to September 2011.

Jan's work experience includes a role as a Validation Project Engineer/Project Manager at Rode Kruis Vlaanderen from January 2010 to September 2011. Jan also held multiple roles at Ordina Belgium, including Validation Consultant from January 2008 to September 2011, QMS Sharepoint based validation support from January 2010 to December 2010, and Validation Consultant Taks24/Centocor (J&J) from August 2008 to June 2009.

Lastly, Jan worked as a Validation Consultant at Enestia Belgium NV in March 2010 and as a SAP Validation Engineer at Helvoet Pharma in December 2009.

Jan Ghys has a diverse education history. In 2001-2002, they attended Hogeschool Antwerpen and studied Industrial chemistry / process automation. In 2003, they enrolled in CVO Antwerpen Zuid and focused on IT organization. Additionally, they pursued Coaching & Active Leadership and Teamwork & Motivation at CVO Merchtem in the same year. Jan later returned to Hogeschool Antwerpen in 1998-2001, where they studied Chemistry. Other educational experiences include certifications such as PRINCE2™ Foundation and PRINCE2™ Practitioner from Wolters Kluwer Business in 2009 and LSV certification from Avansplus.nl in 2008. Jan also received training in various fields, including business process management from Amelior in 2009 and pharmaceuticals from Key2Compliance in 2008. Furthermore, they attended Avansplus.nl in 2007 for training in GC troubleshooting, GC-MS, and MS interpretation. Jan furthered their knowledge in 2010 with a certified PRINCE2™ Practitioner degree from Wolters Kluwer Business. In terms of additional certifications, they completed the HIPAA Business Associate Awareness Training from the HIPAA Training Center in 2015. Furthermore, in 2018, Jan obtained certifications in Introducing Robotic Process Automation, Become a Data Scientist, and Learning Data Science: Understanding the Basics from various institutions such as LinkedIn. Most recently, in 2022, they achieved the ITIL v4 Foundation Level certification from AXELIOS.
