Jelle van Gils

Jelle van Gils has extensive work experience in quality management and compliance in various pharmaceutical and research organizations. Starting in 1993, Jelle worked as a Clinical Research Manager at Aventis Pharmaceuticals, where they handled clinical trials and designed case report forms. In 1996, they joined Janssen Pharmaceuticals as a GCP Manager, providing GCP training and overseeing the implementation of international guidelines.

Jelle later worked at Medisearch International N.V. as a Director of Quality Assurance, managing a team and maintaining the organization's quality system. From there, they joined SGS Life Science Services as a Director of Quality Assurance, leading a team and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

In 2006, Jelle returned to Janssen Pharmaceuticals as the EMEA Director of Medical Compliance, responsible for developing and maintaining system processes and overseeing audits and inspections. Jelle then became the EMEA Medical Compliance & Established Brands Director, overseeing the adoption of medical compliance standards at the regional and local levels.

At Janssen, Jelle also held the role of Senior Director Global Business Quality, where they developed streamlined processes and managed training needs. Jelle later served as the Global Business Quality Lead, leading process optimization projects and implementing a business process management framework.

In 2020, Jelle worked as a Senior Professional QMS & QA Management at Leo Stevens Private Banking during the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2021, they joined arGEN-X as the Senior QMS Lead, responsible for developing streamlined processes and ensuring regulatory compliance. Jelle later became the Head of Quality Systems and Process Improvement.

Currently, Jelle is the Chief Quality Officer at Cerba Research, where they develop and implements the quality department's strategy and manages customer relationships. Jelle also monitors quality management systems and ensures compliance with guidelines, regulations, and standards.

Jelle van Gils pursued their education in Biology at KU Leuven. Jelle completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology with a specialization in Immunology & Biotechnology in 1989. Following that, they enrolled as a PhD student in Biology at KU Leuven, specializing in Immunology and Biotechnology. Their doctoral studies lasted from 1989 to 1993.
