John Priest

Mr. Priest is Head of Europe and Australia for Cerberus Operations, the Firm’s operations platform. He oversees the operating executives and functional experts in Europe and Australia integrate operating expertise within Cerberus’ portfolio companies and investment strategies. Mr. Priest also leads the unsecured loans investment strategy for the Firm.

Mr. Priest joined the Cerberus Operations team in 2006 with a focus on financial services companies and since then, has held various roles at the Firm. He also has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Cerberus portfolio of the company, Equable Ascent Financial (formerly Hilco Receivables).

Prior to Cerberus, Mr. Priest held senior roles in retail and investment banking in the U.S., South America, and Africa including serving as Chief Risk Officer and Head of Marketing Analytics. He resigned his commission as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy in 2003.

Mr. Priest graduated from Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in naval science.
