Andrei Hagiescu

Andrei Hagiescu is a highly skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in software engineering and FPGA technology. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Cerebras Systems since April 2021, Andrei previously held roles as a Senior Software Engineer at Databricks and as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Intel Corporation, where key contributions included performance optimizations for FPGA high-level compilers and custom precision AI training accelerators. Prior to that, Andrei worked at Altera, focusing on virtualization and compiler development for FPGA accelerators. Academic credentials include a PhD in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore and a diploma in Computer Science from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
