Delyan Kalchev

Delyan Kalchev is a skilled member of the Technical Staff in the Advanced Technology Group at Cerebras Systems since January 2022. With extensive experience in computational mathematics, Kalchev previously served as a Computational Mathematician and Postdoctoral Researcher at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory from April 2018 to January 2022, contributing to the Numerical Analysis and Simulations group within the Center for Applied Scientific Computing. Academic credentials include a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, along with a Master's degree in Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, as well as a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado Boulder. Kalchev has also held various research and teaching roles, including positions at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and University of Colorado Boulder. Notably mentored by Dr. Panayot Vassilevski, Kalchev brings comprehensive expertise to the field of applied mathematics and computational sciences.
