Ryan Walsh Martel currently serves as the Director of the Policy Program at Ceres, Inc., a position held since July 2015, following a tenure as Senior Manager in the same program. Prior to this, Ryan worked in the United States Senate from June 2013 to June 2015 as a Legislative Assistant and Policy Advisor focused on Energy and Environment. Earlier experience includes serving as Staff Director for the Finance Subcommittee on Energy, Natural Resources, and Infrastructure, where Ryan also contributed as a Professional Staff Member from June 2009 to January 2013. Additional roles include internships at Concentric Energy Advisors and Econergy International Corporation, where Ryan conducted research on energy-related topics, and a position as a Placement Associate at Carney, Sandoe & Associates. Early career experience was gained as a Paralegal Specialist at the U.S. Department of Justice. Ryan Walsh Martel holds a Master of Public Policy in Energy, Regulatory, and Environmental Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and English from Bowdoin College.
