Christopher Ugbode has a diverse work experience in the fields of biotech, academia, and research. Their most recent role is as a Senior Scientist Project Lead at Cerevance, where they utilize a proprietary technique called NETsseq to identify genetic signatures of different diseases. Prior to this, they worked at the University of York as a Center for Future Health Research Fellow, focusing on understanding neuronal degeneration in genetic models of Frontotemporal Dementia and the response of neurons to reactive oxygen species. Christopher also held a position as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of York. Christopher completed their PhD at the University of Reading and worked as a Research Contractor at Pfizer. Their educational background includes a MRes degree from the University of Manchester.
Christopher Ugbode completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Neuroscience from The University of Manchester, starting in 2008 and finishing in 2011. Christopher then pursued a Master's degree in Neurobiology and Neurosciences at The University of Manchester from 2011 to 2012.
