Medical Director, Global Clinical Development at Cerevel Therapeutics

Theresa Pham, M.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical field. Theresa started their career as an Internal Medicine Resident at Good Samaritan Hospital and Emanuel Hospital Internal Medicine Residency from 1993 to 1996. Theresa then served as a Staff attending Internal Medicine residency at Legacy Health, where they supervised and instructed residents and developed educational curriculum.

Dr. Pham continued their career as an Internal Medicine Physician at The Austin Diagnostic Clinic from 1998 to 2001. During this time, they provided comprehensive internal medicine care to patients. Theresa also worked as a Hospitalist at Hospital Internists Of Austin, caring for a high volume of patients in general medicine wards and ICU settings.

In 2001, Dr. Pham joined St. David's North Austin Medical Center, where they held various roles including Chair of Internal Medicine, Medical Executive Committee Member, Credentialing Committee Member, and member of the Medical Utilization Team. Theresa also served as a Medical Director at PPD's Phase 1 Clinic in Austin, Texas, conducting Phase 1 trials and integrating multi-organ system pathophysiology and pharmacologic actions.

From 2006 to 2009, Dr. Pham ran their private practice, Theresa T. Pham, M.D. P.A., as an Internal Medicine Physician. Theresa provided comprehensive care to a diverse group of patients, including complex elderly patients, and managed clinic staff and daily operations.

Dr. Pham then transitioned to working for Cerevel Therapeutics in 2021, where they held the position of Director of Global Drug Safety. In this role, they led safety on multiple CNS compounds, developed safety management plans, and implemented safety protocols for Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials. Currently, they are the Medical Director of Global Clinical Development at Cerevel Therapeutics.

Throughout their career, Dr. Pham has demonstrated a thoughtful and pragmatic approach to patient care and clinical trial management, utilizing their decades of real-life clinical knowledge and experiences.

Theresa Pham, M.D. began their education journey in 1985 at Southern Methodist University, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree, with Honors, in Business Administration and Management, General. Theresa spent four years there, graduating in 1989. Later, they attended Baylor College of Medicine from 1989 to 1993, successfully earning a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.
