Yong Mi Choi-Sledeski

Yong Mi Choi-Sledeski has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Yong Mi began their career at Aventis Pharmaceutical in 2000 as a Senior Research Fellow in Internal Medicine and Chemistry. In 2005, they moved to Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC as a Lead Research Investigator II in the Exploratory Internal Medicine department. Yong Mi then took on roles at Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC's Fibrosis & Wound Repair Unit, where they served as a Distinguished Scientist and co-chaired the repositioning committee. In 2010, Yong Mi Choi-Sledeski became the Head of Alternative Therapeutics at sanofi, leading a team of scientists focused on novel therapeutic approaches and non-oral drug delivery methods. Yong Mi also served as the US R&D Director of Chemical Research, providing leadership on small molecule programs and offering expertise in due diligence activities. Their most recent role was at Cerevel Therapeutics, LLC, where they served as the Senior Director and Head of Search and Evaluation.

Yong Mi Choi-Sledeski has a strong educational background in the field of chemistry. Yong Mi completed their Bachelor of Science (SB) degree in Chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Following this, they pursued further studies at Princeton University, focusing on synthetic organic chemistry. Later, they attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where they earned their PhD in Organic Chemistry. After completing their doctorate, they went on to undertake a Postdoctoral research position at MIT, specializing in Organic Chemistry.
