Floris Keizer serves as a Senior Applied Fellow at CERN since September 2019, focusing on the Ring-Imaging Cherenkov (RICH) detector for the LHCb experiment, particularly in leveraging sub-nanosecond photon time information for upgrades. Previously, Floris held the position of Project Associate at CERN for the same detector and worked as a Postdoctoral Research Affiliate at the University of Cambridge. Additionally, Floris contributed as a consultant in a technology i-team at the Institute for Manufacturing, exploring biotechnology applications of a novel single photon detector. Experience includes serving as a college supervisor at Churchill College and participating in various roles at CERN and the University of Cambridge while completing a PhD in High Energy Physics. Floris's academic background encompasses a BA and MSci in Natural Sciences, both specializing in Physics, from the University of Cambridge, along with a VWO diploma from Het Amsterdams Lyceum.
