Francesca Piccolo, MS, MPH, serves as a Research Program Coordinator II at the MaineHealth Institute for Research, where responsibilities include supporting principal investigators, managing research studies, and contributing to the evaluation of the Food as Medicine pilot program. Previous experience includes roles as a student intern at MaineHealth and a biological science technician at the USDA Agricultural Research Service, focusing on nutrition and cognitive function research. Francesca was also the lead researcher for the COMPACT study during undergraduate education at the University of Rhode Island. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Biochemical and Molecular Nutrition and a Master of Public Health from Tufts University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Rhode Island.
