Mariana Velho

Mariana Velho currently serves as the CERN openlab Communication, Education & Outreach Manager since November 2023, where Mariana leads communication initiatives within a unique public-private partnership involving CERN and leading technology companies. Prior experience includes working as an IT Communication, Education & Outreach Officer at CERN, focusing on communication projects, and as a STEM Education, Communication & Outreach Officer at Technological University Dublin, conducting research in partnership with Microsoft DreamSpace. Mariana has also collaborated with the Psycholinguistics Research Group at Universidade do Minho and served as a Neuropsychologist at APsi. Earlier roles included a Junior Science Communications Officer with the Education, Communication & Outreach team of the ATLAS Experiment, emphasizing content creation for various platforms. Mariana holds a Postgraduate Degree in Science Communication and has completed courses in STEM Education and Project Management, building a strong foundation in both communication and psychology with degrees from Universidade do Minho.
