Matteo Bunino

Matteo Bunino is currently a Fellow for Artificial Intelligence at CERN, where responsibilities include co-leading the interTwin project focused on developing advanced AI workflows in scientific research, scaling PyTorch and TensorFlow to high-performance computing systems, and overseeing project management and team mentorship. Prior experience includes roles as a Cyber Security Data Analyst at Huawei, where Matteo conducted machine learning-based binary code analysis and developed APIs for malware detection, and as a Research Intern at Huawei, where contributions involved enhancing dynamic malware analysis using AI. Additionally, Matteo gained experience as a Big Data Analyst Intern at Technology Reply, focusing on machine learning for semantic information extraction from handwritten bank transactions. Academic credentials include two Master’s degrees in Data Science and Engineering from EURECOM and Politecnico di Torino, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Torino.
