Laura Newberry-Yokley has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Laura currently holds the position of Director, International & Multicultural Marketing at Certified Angus Beef LLC, where they are responsible for developing and implementing marketing programs in multiple languages and cultures. Prior to this, they served as the Assistant Director and Brand Manager, International at the same company.

Before joining Certified Angus Beef LLC, Laura worked at Sonrisa Products, where they held multiple roles, including Reiki Master Teacher, Usui Reiki Master, Author, Holistic Leadership Coach, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Trainer, and President & CEO. In this capacity, they provided coaching and leadership solutions to businesses, governments, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and communities.

Laura also gained experience in engagement and marketing at United Way, where they served as Director, Engagement & Marketing and Marketing & Community Engagement Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for public relations, creative agency management, resource development, training, event planning, and volunteer management.

Laura began their career at Abbott, where they held various positions, including Senior Manager and Manager in Health Policy. In these roles, they were responsible for shaping strategic policy priorities and providing insights and recommendations to executive management.

Laura Newberry-Yokley, MA, MBA, RM has a diverse education history. Laura obtained their high school diploma from Fairview High School in an unknown field of study. Laura then attended The College of Wooster from 1999 to 2003, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Classics and Spanish. During their undergraduate studies, they also studied abroad at Universidad de Córdoba in Spain, focusing on Spanish Language and Literature.

After completing their bachelor's degree, Laura pursued further education at Claremont Graduate University from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Women's Studies in Religion. Additionally, they engaged in coursework in Sanskrit and Classical Indian Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir in 2004.

Laura also participated in international summer schools for Jain Studies in India in 2005 and 2006, where they furthered their knowledge of Jainism. In 2004, they were a visiting scholar at the International Summer School for Jain Studies in India as well. Moreover, they undertook coursework in Hindi Language and Literature at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2004.

In more recent years, Laura pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Strategic Leadership at Capital University from 2020 to 2021. Laura also audited a French Minor at The College of Wooster from 2019 to 2023, investing in the study of French Language and Literature.

Beyond their formal education, Laura has obtained several additional certifications. Laura became a Reiki Master through Usui Shiki Ryoho, Reiki in May 2021. Laura also completed the StoryBrand Certified Guide Training Certification from StoryBrand in the same month. In October 2020, Laura earned the designation of Black Belt, 1st Dan from the Ohio Academy of Martial Arts. Prior to that, they acquired multiple certifications related to brand advantages and meat management from Certified Angus Beef LLC, including International Master of Brand Advantages (2019), International Round Up (2019), Latin Associates in Meat (2019), and Master of Brand Advantages (2023). Lastly, Laura obtained their Bridges Out of Poverty Trainer certification from aha! Process in November 2015.
