Shannon Kern

Shannon Kern has extensive work experience in various roles related to quality, compliance, and healthcare accreditation. Shannon currently works as the Head of Quality, Compliance, and Security at CertifyOS, where they oversee IT, cybersecurity, and compliance infrastructure. Prior to this, Shannon worked at NCQA as a Senior Operations Engineer, where they led the design and development of a multi-million dollar software platform. Shannon also had a role as an Accreditation Manager, managing the survey process with healthcare organizations. Before NCQA, Shannon worked at Humana Behavioral Health, where they held positions such as Quality & Accreditation Compliance Project Analyst, Lone Star Ambassador, Senior Grievances and Appeals Specialist, and Clinical Specialist. Throughout their career, Shannon has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in quality control, compliance, and healthcare operations.

Shannon Kern holds an MBA in IT Management with a specialization in IT Strategy and Information Security from Western Governors University. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Sociology with an emphasis in Political Sociology from The University of Texas at Arlington. Shannon'sundergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from Texas Woman's University. Shannon completed their high school education at Edward S. Marcus High School. Additionally, Shannon possesses several certifications, including Microsoft Office Access 2016, Introduction to Public Speaking, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Lean Training, a conference for managing and supervising people, a conference for leadership development and team building, a conference for Adobe Photoshop users, and a Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
