Stephen Buck has a diverse work experience in the mental health and counseling field. Stephen is currently working as a Counselling and Psychotherapy professional at The Self Care Space since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Health and Social Care Mental Health Freelance Support at Certitude, starting in May 2017. In 2021, they served as a Student Counsellor at THE ACADEMY OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC LIMITED from July 2021 to May 2023. Before that, they worked as a Counsellor / Psychotherapist and Clinical Case Manager at Ingeus CiC from March 2021 to March 2022. Stephen also has experience as a Clinical Director at Wellbeing Solutions from December 2020 to March 2021 and as a Specialist Team Manager Mental Health at One Housing from August 2020 to November 2020. Stephen Buck has a diverse education history. Stephen first pursued music education, earning a Bachelor of Music (BMus Hons) degree from The Royal College of Music as a QEQM Scholar from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they completed their A Levels in Music Performance at The Purcell School, a specialist institution for gifted children. Stephen also received a distinction in ARCM Hons in Music Teacher Education at The Royal College of Music, where they were again awarded the QEQM Scholarship, from 1995 to 1997.

In addition to their music studies, Stephen pursued advanced postgraduate studies in music performance at The Sweelinck Conservatoire Amsterdam on scholarship from 1997 to 1998. Stephen also attended The Britten-Pears School for Advanced Musical Studies on a William Pleeth Scholarship during the same period.

Later on, Stephen shifted their focus towards counseling and psychotherapy. Stephen obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Counseling from Inter-Psyche, Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Training from 2007 to 2010. Continuing their education in this field, they achieved Professional Accreditation from The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) from 2010 to 2017.

To complement their educational background, Stephen also acquired additional certifications. In 2017, they obtained certification from BACP, and in 2020, they became an Individual Member of the UK Employee Assistance Programme Association (EAPA UK).

Overall, Stephen Buck's education and certifications demonstrate their dedication to both music pedagogy and counseling and psychotherapy.
