Nicolae Ghibu

Nicolae Ghibu has extensive work experience in the field of certification services and information technology. Nicolae started their career at the Petroleum and Chemical Industry in 1983, where they worked as an IT Specialist and later became an IT Manager until 1991. From 1991 to 2006, they worked at the Ministry of Finance, initially as the Director of IT and later as the Deputy General Director of the IT General Directorate. In 2006, Ghibu joined CERTSIGN SA, a company that provides certification services and develops security solutions. Nicolae served as the CEO of CERTSIGN from 2006 to 2016 and became the CCO in 2016. In addition to their role at CERTSIGN, Ghibu was also the President of the Certification Service Providers Association starting in 2010. Nicolae further expanded their involvement in the industry by becoming the President of the Bucharest Chapter of the Government Blockchain Association in 2018. Ghibu is also a Founding Member of the IdeaGist Blockchain Incubator, starting from 2018. In 2017, they served as a Sales & Technology Advisor at certME.
