Lloyd Ison has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Lloyd has worked in Cerus as the VP of Device Development, Hardware & Software since 2020, where they lead a team responsible for delivering instrumentation for the INTERCEPT system. Prior to this, they held the position of Sr. Director of Device Engineering from 2018 to 2020 and Sr. Director of Device Engineering and Project Management from 2016 to 2018. Lloyd also served as the Director of Device Engineering and Project Management from 2015 to 2016 and Director of Project Management from 2014 to 2015 at Cerus.

Before joining Cerus, Lloyd worked at Carl Zeiss Meditec as the Director of Program Management from 2010 to 2013, where they led the research and development program management team for a diagnostic imaging business. Lloyd also held the position of Sr. Program Manager for the OCT Business from 2008 to 2010 in the same company.
