Danna Lomax is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in bilingual education and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Lecturer and Program Designer at UC Santa Barbara since July 2022, Danna also contributes to the Cesar Chavez Foundation as a Curriculum Developer. Danna has held a Lecturer position at California State University-Channel Islands since 2016 and works as a Bilingual Teacher for Ventura Unified School District, where recognition as the 2014 Ventura Unified Teacher of the Year was achieved. Additionally, Danna has been an active presenter at various conferences, including CABE and La Cosecha, focusing on project-based learning and strategies for supporting multilingual learners. Danna's educational background includes a Master's degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Fresno Pacific University and a BA in English from UCLA, complemented by various certifications in bilingual education.
