James Pope

James Pope is an experienced educator and coach with a strong background in physical education and leadership. Currently serving as a PE Teacher at Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools for Public Policy since August 2015, James focuses on the physical and personal development of students. Previously, as Head Boys Basketball Coach at IDEA Public Charter School from November 2012 to March 2017 and at Friendship Public Charter School from August 2008 to June 2015, James prepared athletes for collegiate competition while teaching essential skills in basketball and communication. Additionally, James held the role of Physical Education Teacher and Athletic Director at The Beddow School from August 2006 to June 2008, where leadership and student growth were emphasized. James holds a degree from Hiram College, earned between 1998 and 2002.
