Dr Hussein Hirey

Dr. Hussein Hirey serves as the CESVI Health and Nutrition Coordinator since January 2011, with a focus on project implementation, capacity building for health workers, and efficient community referral systems. Concurrently, Dr. Hirey functions as a Field Nutrition Analyst for FAO, where responsibilities include data collection, emergency assessments, and coordination of nutrition programs. Additionally, Dr. Hirey has held roles in various organizations such as Medicins Du Monde as a Field Health Coordinator, COSV as a National Health Project Officer, Malaria Coordinator, and Qoryoley Hospital Manager, and serves as a Malaria Zonal Coordinator for Merlin UK. Dr. Hirey's educational background includes a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Somali International University, a Master's degree in Public Health from Mogadishu University, and a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from the same institution.
