Lúcia Helena Xavier is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in environmental management, waste management, and sustainability indicators. Currently serving as a researcher at CETEM - Centro de Tecnologia Mineral since July 2017, Lúcia has also held roles as a visiting researcher at Memorial University of Newfoundland and a senior researcher at Fundação Joaquim Nabuco, where significant projects were developed in environmental management and reverse logistics. Lúcia's expertise is further demonstrated through past positions at various esteemed institutions including the Escola Politécnica da USP, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, and involvement with the Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Ambiental. Lúcia holds a doctorate and a master's degree in Production Engineering, as well as a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
