Abinand Manorama

Abinand Manorama is a Principal Researcher in Apparel Innovation at Nike since August 2022, focusing on research that enhances athlete performance through product and service innovation across various demographics. Prior to this role, Abinand held several key positions at adidas, including Senior Innovation Manager for Advanced Concepts, leading a cross-disciplinary team on future product innovations, and Manager of Future Innovation for basketball-related projects. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research Associate and Lab Instructor at Michigan State University, where responsibilities involved supervising a large class and managing junior assistants, and a brief tenure as a Resident Scholar at Autodesk. Abinand holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Biomechanics and a Master’s degree in the same field, both from Michigan State University.
