Gene Goldman

Gene Goldman, CFA has extensive experience in the financial industry. Gene currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Cetera Financial Group, where they are responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the firm's research offerings. In this role, they oversee the Cetera research team and ensures the delivery of unbiased research on various investment topics.

Prior to joining Cetera, Gene worked at LPL Financial, where they held several roles. Gene served as a Market Strategist, where they articulated the investment philosophies, processes, and market outlook of the Research department. Gene also led an analyst team in due diligence and monitoring of mutual funds and separately managed accounts for open architecture and centrally managed platforms. Additionally, they were a Separately Managed Account Strategist, leading due diligence efforts for traditional and unified managed account platforms.

Earlier in their career, Gene worked at Liberty Financial as a Mutual Fund Analyst.

Throughout their career, Gene has covered various asset classes, including small cap, large cap, fixed income, and emerging markets. Gene has extensive experience with different investment vehicles, such as mutual funds, separately managed accounts, index funds, and variable annuity subaccounts.

Gene Goldman, CFA obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the years 1988 to 1992. Following this, they pursued an MBA in Finance at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University from 1992 to 1994. Prior to this, they attended Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, though the specific timeframe and degree earned are unknown.
