Perla Fernández

Perla Fernández, CISM has extensive experience in information security and management. Perla currently holds the position of CISO at CEVALDOM. Previously, they served as the Gerente de Seguridad de la Información y Contingencia at Asociación Popular de Ahorros y Préstamos. Prior to that, they worked at CEVALDOM as the Gerente de Seguridad de la Información. During their time at CEVALDOM, Perla held various roles including Information Security and IT Auditor and Information Security Manager. Perla also has experience as an Information Security Officer at Banco Santa Cruz and as a Project Manager at VERSAMED International. Throughout their career, Perla has been involved in developing and implementing information security policies, conducting risk assessments, and deploying security solutions.

Perla Fernández, CISM, holds a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, earned between 2004 and 2008. Perla also holds a Master's degree in Audit and Information Security from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, completed between 2013 and 2017. Perla has obtained several certifications, including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2015, and ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor and ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer from PECB in 2017 and 2015 respectively. Perla recently completed the program "Transformación Digital: Tecnologías y sus aplicaciones prácticas" from MIT Professional Education.
