Alex Aspreas

Alex Aspreas has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Alex started their career as a Junior Commodity Trader at Manuchar in 1989 and then worked as a Senior Commodity Trader at Carbometal SA from 1992 to 1996. In this role, they focused on market development and field management in mineral and chemical trading in North Africa and the Middle East.

Alex then joined Alanka Food Services SA in Athens, Greece in 1996 as a Sales Manager. Here, they pioneered the Horeca/Food service distribution channel in Greece and successfully built a top Horeca distribution network. Alex also trained and motivated sales force teams during this time.

In 2000, Alex became the Commercial Director at Alanka Food Services SA, where they introduced Dilmah teas to retail supermarket chains in Greece. Alex continued to work with Alanka Food Services SA as the Managing Director of Alanka Food Services SA in Romania from 2008.

In the same year, they also took on the role of Regional Sales Manager, South Eastern Europe at Dilmah Tea. In this position, they were responsible for handling sales to the Southern Eastern Europe region, with a focus on the Balkans.

Throughout their career, Alex has demonstrated strong leadership skills, market development expertise, and a successful track record in sales and distribution.

Alex Aspreas obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Panteion University of Political and Economic Science in Athens, Greece, from 1982 to 1986. Following this, they pursued a Masters Degree in European Administration at the College of Europe in Brugges, Belgium, from 1988 to 1989.
