James Martielli

James Martielli, CFA, CAIA, currently serves as the Head of Investment & Trading Services at Vanguard since July 2009, focusing on helping individual investors achieve their investment goals through education and trading support. Martielli previously held roles at Vanguard, including Head of Investment Solutions and Head of Product, Asia, where responsibilities encompassed product development and client engagement in the Asian market. Earlier experience includes positions at SEI Investments, where Martielli was Head of Equity and an Investment Strategist, contributing to global fixed income fund launches and investment analysis. Martielli also contributes to the CFA Institute as a Draft Curriculum Reviewer and has held leadership roles at the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA). Martielli earned a Bachelor of Science degree with University Honors in Economics and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
