James Cardwell

James (Jay) Cardwell, CPA has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. James (Jay) has worked as the COO for CFO Squad LLC, providing pre-tax services, M&A services, financial reporting services, and SEC reporting & tax compliance. James (Jay) also served as the CFO for S2BN Entertainment Corporation and as the COO/CFO for Sibling Entertainment Group Inc. In addition, they worked as an Accounting & Tax Specialist for their own company, James Cardwell, CPA, for over 25 years. Prior to that, they were the Deputy Director for the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, where they developed business models and prepared financial reporting and accounting functions. James also has experience in the entertainment industry as a President/Producer/Founder for Cardwell Productions and as an Associate Producer for Nunsense Theatrical Company LP. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Tax Consultant for Arthur Andersen & Co, where they reviewed tax research, managed tax preparation software programs, and conducted tax research projects.

James (Jay) Cardwell, CPA received their Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Illinois State University in 1981. James (Jay) also obtained a Certificate in Business Analyst from Stony Brook University in 2010. Prior to their university education, they obtained their High School Diploma from Normal Community High School in 1977. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Public Accountant.
