James N. Katsaounis

James N. Katsaounis is a seasoned marketing and communications executive with extensive experience in leading high-performing teams and managing large budgets across various prestigious organizations. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Marketing & Communications at the CFP Board since October 2021, Katsaounis oversees a talented department responsible for the organization’s marketing, communications, and media relations. Previously, Katsaounis held the role of Vice President and CMO at The American College of Financial Services, managing innovative marketing and public relations initiatives, and served as Associate Vice President for University Communications at Drexel University, where significant service expansions and crisis communications management were achieved. Katsaounis's earlier roles include directing public relations for the Grand Lodge Free & Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania and communications management at Acacia Fraternity. Katsaounis holds a Master of Science in Communication from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Ohio University, graduating Cum Laude.
