Gene Gilliland worked as the Assistant Vice President of Strategic Planning & PR at CFSB from November 2004 onwards. Prior to this, they served as a Preacher at Benton church of Christ from January 1990 to July 2004.
Gene Gilliland attended the following institutions for their education:
- From 1970 to 1973, they studied Bible/Biblical Studies at Freed-Hardeman University, earning an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree.
- From 1973 to 1974, they pursued Bible/Biblical Studies at Oklahoma Christian University, completing a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree.
- In 1977, they enrolled at Harding School of Theology and obtained a Master's of Theology (M.Th.) degree in Ministry in 1980.
- From 1992 to 1997, they furthered their education at Harding School of Theology and earned a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree in Church Growth.
- In 2006, they attended KBA Essentials Banking School and received a Diploma in Banking.
- From 2007 to 2009, they studied Banking at KBA General Banking School and obtained a Diploma.
- Lastly, from 2010 to 2012, they attended Barret School of Banking, where they earned a Diploma in Banking.
