David Gold has a diverse work experience in the geoscience field. David has worked at CGG as the Environmental Science - Technical Business Development Lead, contributing to the development of new technology and services. David was also the Technical and Business Development Manager, promoting geoscience capabilities and developing client relationships. Prior to this, David was the Geoscience Team Leader in CGG's Asia-Pacific Group, where they provided leadership and managed projects. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Project Geoscientist and Geoscientist, specializing in stratigraphy and carbonate sedimentology. Before joining CGG, David worked at Southeast Asia Research Group as a Sedimentologist/Palaeontologist, conducting research on tectonic development and geological history in Southeast Asia. David started their career as a Student at the University of Portsmouth.

David Gold obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geology/Earth Science, General from Royal Holloway, University of London from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Sedimentology, Stratigraphy, and Palaeontology from the University of Portsmouth between 2008 and 2011. David also holds a degree in Film and broadcast production with a specialization in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from London Metropolitan University, which they completed from 2004 to 2007. David attended Richard Hale School from 1996 to 2003. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have earned several certifications, including OKR Coach Certification from Wave Nine, REC Outdoor First Aid from Plas y Brenin in 2019, and CGG Fundamentals of business finance - Celemi Apples & Oranges business simulation from Celemi - Making Change Happen in 2016.
