Shahin Ali

Shahin Ali has extensive work experience in various roles related to data strategy, digitalization, business intelligence, and technical management. Currently, Shahin is the Director of Business Intelligence & Data Strategy at CGG, where they provide strategic guidance and contribute to the development of the overall data strategy. Additionally, Shahin manages and leads multi-located teams and evaluates new technologies to enhance data intelligence capabilities. Prior to this, Shahin was the Global Head of Digitalization & BI at CGGVeritas, where they owned and delivered digitalization and business intelligence roadmaps, maximized data value, and defined data governance policies. Shahin also held roles at Inspired Gaming Group, Royal Bank of Scotland Business, Direct-Line Insurance, ING Lease UK Limited, and Gordon & Breach Publishing, where they gained experience in Oracle database administration, data warehouse development, software engineering, and business analysis.

Shahin Ali completed their Information Management with Information Systems degree at the University of West London in 1998. Prior to that, they completed 3 A levels at East Sussex College in 1994 and obtained their GCSE's from Priory School in Lewes, East Sussex in 1992. They have also obtained additional certifications such as Big Data and Data Science from IBM in 2017, BCS (MBCS) from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in 2017, ITIL v3 Foundation from Focus on Training in 2011, and Oracle OCP (10g) from Oracle in 2006.
