Esther Bergman

Chief Financial Officer at Chai Lifeline

Esther Bergman has a diverse range of work experience in finance and management roles. Esther is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Chai Lifeline since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at JCCA from July 2015 to December 2020, first as the Strategic Financial Planning and Budget Director and later as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer. At JCCA, they were responsible for providing strategic financial planning, budgeting functions, and resource allocations.

Before JCCA, Esther served as the Controller & Interim CFO at Met Council from September 2011 to June 2015. Esther was responsible for managing accounting operations and producing financial reports. Prior to that, they worked at Twenty First Century Foundation as the Finance Manager/Controller from January 2007 to September 2011, where they managed day-to-day operations and accounting functions.

Esther also worked as the Operations and Finance Manager at Global Justice Center in 2007.

Esther Bergman's education history includes various academic achievements. In 1995, they attended the University of Costa Rica and pursued a BA degree in Social Sciences, which they completed in 2001. In 2006, they enrolled at Baruch College and obtained a Certificate in Accounting after completing their studies in 2007. In 2015, Esther continued their education at Touro University and earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance in 2016. In 2020, they participated in a program at Columbia Business School, completing a course in Executive Leadership with a concentration in Business Administration and Management.
