Shashikanth KS has held a variety of roles in multiple companies since 1997. From 1997 to 1999, they were an Executive in Finance & Accounts at Tatra Udyog Limited. After that, they were an Asst Manager in Finance & Costing at BPL Limited (ERL) from 1999 to 2004. During 2004, they were a Senior Manager in Strategy & Business Planning at Infosys Technologies Ltd, as well as a Consultant at Wipro Consulting. Shashikanth then worked at Aditya Birla Retail Limited from 2008 to 2019, holding roles as Chief Human Resources Officer, Head of Human Resources - Supermarket, Head - Marketing & VM (Supermarkets), Regional Head - West, and CEOs Office - Strategy & Operations. Most recently, they have been the CEO - Retail BU & CHRO and Chief Operating Officer & CHRO at Chai Point since 2019.

Shashikanth KS has a diverse educational background. Shashikanth began their educational journey in 1979, when they attended Sri Kumarans Children's Home for primary and secondary school. After this, they attended Vijaya College, Bangalore University from 1993 to 1996, where they earned a B Sc in Mathematics, Economics & Statistics. In 1993, they also began studying at the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants, where they earned an ICMA in Cost Accountancy in 1997. Finally, from 2002 to 2004, Shashikanth attended the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategy, Finance, and Ops.
