Christopher S. Lippman

Chip Lippman is a Managing Director for the Carlyle Group focused on U.S. real estate opportunities. He joined Carlyle in 1998 and has led various investment sourcing strategies in markets across the United State. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Lippman was a vice president specializing in real estate with Friedman Billings & Ramsey, an investment bank located in Arlington, Virginia. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Lippman was employed by CarrAmerica Realty Corporation, a publicly-traded real estate investment trust. He graduated cum laude from Harvard College with an AB in Economics.
