Maya E. has over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles in human resources. Maya is currently serving as the Chief People Officer at Chain, a blockchain-based technology company. In this role, Maya leads the people operations and is responsible for building a scalable talent organization, overseeing talent acquisition and development, culture strategy, and M&A.
Prior to their current position, Maya worked as the Vice President of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition at CloudBolt Software, where they led the HR and talent acquisition strategy for the company. Maya was also involved in completing two M&As and expanding into EMEA and APAC markets.
Maya has also served as the Vice President of Human Resources at VT Group International, where they led the talent function, organizational development, and culture transformation for the company. Maya partnered with the CEO and executive leadership team to formulate and execute talent and business strategy.
Before that, Maya held the position of Director of Global Human Resources Business Partner at Fenice Energy, where they led HR strategy, operations, and M&A for the Global Assets Division. Maya drove significant employee base growth across multiple countries.
Maya has also worked as the Director of Global Human Resources at Silver Ridge Power, overseeing global HR operations across eight countries. Maya played a crucial role in building HR strategy to support the development and operation of solar power plants.
Earlier in their career, Maya served as the Human Resource and Deputy Program Manager at SOS International, Ltd., where they led HR operations and strategy for a high-visibility government program. Maya successfully performed contract closeout and managed a large employee RIF.
Maya started their career in the US Air Force as a Liaison for Culture, Talent, and Media Relations. Maya managed relationships with government authorities and designed staff plans for various missions and events.
Maya also worked at The World Bank as a Human Resources Manager, where they played a key role in securing and staffing a road renovation project.
Throughout their career, Maya has demonstrated expertise in talent management, M&A, culture transformation, and strategic HR planning.
Maya E. has an extensive education history and holds various certifications. Maya E. obtained a Certificate in Project Management Professional (PMP) from George Mason University in 2010. In the same year, Maya E. also received a Certificate in Government Contracting from George Mason University. In 2008, Maya E. earned a Certificate in Senior Human Resource Professional (SPHR) from Nova Southeastern University.
Maya E. pursued higher education and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on International Business Management and Human Resources Management from the American University in Central Asia from 2001-2003. Additionally, Maya E. received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Piano Performance and Music Education from the National Conservatory from 1996-2000.
