Sofia Kihlman Øiseth is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in material science and chemical engineering. Currently serving as Group Leader of the Graphene Group at Chalmers Industriteknik since August 2019, Sofia is also a Project Manager for the Graphene Flagship, focusing on innovation within the organization. Prior to these roles, Sofia was the Outreach Manager and Team Leader of the Physical and Chemical Characterisation Team in the Food Program at CSIRO from 2007 to July 2019 and worked as a Research Scientist studying the structure-function relationship of food. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Material Science and an MSc in Chemical Engineering with Engineering Physics, both obtained from Chalmers University of Technology. Previous postdoctoral experiences include research on cheese curd molecular properties at Monash University and plasma polymerisation for biomaterial applications at CSIRO Molecular Science.
