Mateus Monteiro is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research, law, and the performing arts. Currently, as Head of Brazil Research at Chambers and Partners since October 2021, Mateus has held various roles including Research Manager and Research Analyst. Prior to this, Mateus was self-employed as an Assistant Director, contributing to nine professional productions since 2013 by providing performance notes to actors. Experience includes working as a Lawyer in the taxation and trademarks and patents departments at AES Eletropaulo, and at Carlos Antônio dos Santos Advogados Associados specializing in taxation law for multinational clients. Mateus holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Arts in Theatre Directing from the University of Essex, as well as degrees in Education, Arts, History of Culture, Dramaturgy, Taxation Law, and a Bachelor of Laws from Universidade Católica de Santos.
